Garageband is a very famous music creation app in the market. It is perhaps the most downloaded out of them all. Anyone with an iOS device openly flaunts this amazing app. Actual musicians also use this amazing app to create their music. Today, I will show you the different ways by which you can try and run Garageband for Windows.
If you do not have an iOS device and still want to use Garageband, simply follow my guide. This method is ideal for musicians who want to use this app but don’t really have iOS. Let us begin with no further wait. Also, please note to always scan whichever emulators you download from third-party sites.
Before we look at the method, I would like to be honest and point out that it isn’t really available for Windows YET. There is no official release of Garageband for PC. But turn that frown upside down. There is always a way. With a bit of tinkering, you can Download Garageband for Windows – PC/Laptop (7, 8.1 & 10).
So there is a way to install GarageBand for PC. But this method will depend on third party sites and will not have official developer support. Use it on your own risk. Developing emulators for Apple is pretty tough so not many options are available.
Garageband for Windows Requirements
Before we proceed, make sure your Windows meets the minimum requirements for this method. We will be emulating iOS on windows, which will be memory heavy.
You will need:
- 4GB of RAM or higher
- Intel Core i5 or higher
- Windows 7
- 2GB space
Using Garageband on Windows via iPadian
iPadian is a simulator software that recreates an iOS device on your windows computer. It also allows you to use many apps from its very own app store. This software requires Adobe air to run properly. It lets you run hundreds of apps and gives you access to the ios market. This simulation software would be ideal in running Garageband on Windows PC. Once you have downloaded iPadian, we can move on with our tutorial.
Step One: Now that you have iPadian up and running, you will get an iOS simulation ready. Remember, this simulation is pretty much the same as an actual iOS device.
Step Two: Simply head over to the iPadian Store. It has its own play store with hundreds of apps and games.
Step Three: In the search bar, simply type in “GarageBand” and hit search. Now, click on the app, and start downloading it.
Step Four: Once it has finished downloading, you can run it and use it the way you see fit! Voila! GarageBand for PC is now successfully running on Windows.
I hope this iPadian guide helped you. This is pretty much the only legit method left to run iOS apps on windows. There aren’t many emulators for iOS out there because of Apple’s closed source programs. I hope this method works.
